A live show of the French band METRAL (Heavy Metal since 1981) and the Bulgarian band RAMPART !!!
Founded in the early 1980s by Guy and Denis, METRAL, originally from Cannes, had been nicknamed by the regional press: the "most studded group in France". Over the course of numerous concerts throughout the PACA region, the group began to build a reputation in the heavy-metal world. After a start on guitar, Guy will move to bass, he will leave the band soon after. The group composed of Bernie (drums), Jeff (solo guitar), Lionel (bass), Marc (rhythm guitar) and Denis (vocals) is now on the way. Over the years, Bernie will also become one of the pillars of the group. Not content to establish itself in their region of origin, METRAL began to establish itself in the Rhône-Alpes region, leaving its audience with a memorable memory in Lyon. METRAL stands out for its extraordinary style and its French compositions. Among them, titles such as "La route sera bien longue", "Génération perdue" or "Freddy" will remain forever in the memories of their fans. After five years, the group disbanded.
Each member will try new experiences. The two original founders and Bernie will never lose sight of each other during all these years. After 20 years of absence, Bernie, Denis and Guy alias METRAL decided to make their official return for the love of music and the pleasure of the fans. Shortly after deciding to reform, Bernie flew to musician's paradise much too early. METRAL decides to continue its reformation in homage to Bernie. Three new members join the original formation.
Between 2011 and 2014, Metral will play with ADX, Rozz and various other bands. Metral will perform in a few venues in the south-east, south-west and even Paris Metral will be broadcast on many radio waves around the world. Metral signed with the Brennus label in 2014 for a period of 5 years. Metral's first album will be released in 2014: "Notre Regard". From 2014 to 2017, Metral will continue to promote its first album by playing in several concert halls on the French Riviera.
Due to musical differences, the group split in April 2017. Denis and Guy remain alone together to continue the Metral adventure. Three new musicians will join them: Loïc (Rhythm guitar), Christian (Drums) and Pete (Solo guitar). Metral is working hard to release their second album: L'ombre du sang (to be released mid-May 2018). This album will be totally produced by an independent producer. Metral's news for 2018 starts in May 2018 (2 concerts in London) and continues in June and July 2018. In July 2018, the band separated from drummer Christian. He will be replaced until October 2018 by Lionel. In October 2018, Metral will be on the bill with the Vulcan group. Julien joined Metral as a drummer at the end of October 2018 until March 2019. Paul will replace him. The band is back on the road of composition in order to release their 3rd opus (to be released at the end of 2019). In the middle of the composition, Metral will be more discreet on stage but will still have some dates (Grasse, Vence, Poland, Russia, Bulgaria, and Serbia).

RAMPART was founded in 2006 around the vocalist Maria Diese. Many worthy musicians gave their contribution in building this fortress of Heavy Metal in Bulgaria.
The bastion was built in 2008 with the release of the demo “Warriors". It got some highly encouraging feedback from the European metal underground press. In 2009 the band recorded new material and released its debut album "Voice of the Wilderness" via the French label Inferno Records.
In 2011 RAMPART recorded their new EP “A Tale to Cold”. It was released as a cassette single in 2011, and as a CD with three bonus tracks in 2012. The band promoted these mini-releases with gigs in the United Kingdom.
RAMPART's sophomore concept studio album “War Behest” was released in June, 2012. The band promoted it with a tour in Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, and France.
RAMPART recorded their third album “Завера / Conspiracy” with Bulgarian lyrics in 2013. The CD was released in the fall of 2013 via the Bulgarian label Metal Industries. This album is a special recognition to the Bulgarian metal fans that supported the band throughout the last years.
RAMPART had the pleasure to share the stage with bands like SAXON, KREATOR, QUEENSRYCHE, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, ANVIL, UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER, SCANNER, BLAZE BAYLEY, SUSPERIA, HATE, ARKONA, WITCHBURNER, GODSLAVE, CRIPPER, GUARDIANS OF TIME, PICTURE, LONEWOLF, ELVENPATH, IRON MASK, METAL WITCH, WIZARD, and many more.
The hard work of RAMPART allowed the band to participate in festivals in festivals in Germany (Wacken Open Air - Wacken; Taunus Metal Open Air - Oberursel), Greece (Rock You to Hell Fest, Athens), Belarus(Metal Crowd Festival), Netherlands (Dynamo and PopEI, Eindhoven), United Kingdom(Guildford and London), Hungary (MetalWar Fest, Budapest), Serbia (CrossBorder Fest, Nis), Romania (Rock pe 2 Roti, Lugoj), France (Rising Fest II, Dijon), and Belgium (Iron Steel Fest, Genk).
In 2016 RAMPART took part in Udo DIRKSCHNEIDER's "Back to the Roots" tour with special guests ANVIL in Denmark and Sweden.
The band released its fourth album „Codex Metalum” on 8 April 2016 on the German label Iron Shield Records.
RAMPART had the honor to take part in Wacken Open Air 2017 with a special show.
Now, RAMPART finished the recordings of their 5th album “WWII: Memories for the Future”. The main topic line of all its lyrics is concept and features less known historical facts about the World War II.
